Cookie policy

What the website sets
The website sets a single cookie: annecy_locale. It stores the language that was chosen or detected (fr, en or de) so that pages are shown in that language. It does not contain your name, your email, or an advertising identifier. It lasts for one year. It is limited to the website. In production, on an HTTPS address, it is sent only over a secure connection.
This cookie is strictly necessary for the service of browsing the website in a given language. It is exempt from prior consent under Article 82 of the French Data Protection Act (loi Informatique et Libertés). The CNIL lists the language-preference cookie among the examples that may fall under this exemption.
You can delete it in your browser settings. The website may then ask you for a language again, or apply the browser language again on your next visit to the homepage.
What is not used
No audience-measurement tool, no tag manager, no advertising cookie and no embedded social network is loaded by the website. There is therefore no “accept all / refuse all” banner.
Google Maps
The map is not a cookie of the website. It loads only if you click “Show the map”, after a notice stating that Google may set cookies and receive your IP address. Without that click, the page does not send any request to Google Maps.
To refuse these cookies, do not load the map. You can also open the address in Google Maps through the link provided, which leaves this website. Reloading the page removes the map: the choice is not remembered from one visit to the next.
Local storage
The website does not write personal data into localStorage or sessionStorage for tracking. Information entered in the quote form stays in the page’s memory while you are filling it in, including if you open the privacy policy and then return to the form. It is sent only when you submit the request.
Contact
